We’ve all seen the precious posts celebrating our relationships, right! Well how about a challenge celebrating our relationship of our story with the author and creator of all love....
Here’s mine!
How did you meet? The first time I can vividly remember meeting Jesus is in a Sunday School room I visited with neighbors. I was so drawn to a picture of Jesus on the wall.
First date- 9th grade - a friend gave me a bible
How long have you been together? Officially since Vday weekend 2009 when I walked into Westmeade Baptist for the first time and heard all about the love of Jesus Christ. I’ve been loving him back ever since.
Who was interested first? Him - For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. Psalm 139:13
Who said I love you first? Him - For God so loved the world, he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him would not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Who is most patient? Him - And count the patience of our Lord as salvation. 2 Peter 3:15
Who is the kindest? Him - But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:4-5
Who is most jealous? Him (righteously so) - You shall not bow down to them (idols) or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God
Who is most honorable? Him- In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise. Revelations 5:12
Who is least easily angered? Him - The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. Psalm 103:8
Who doesn’t hold a grudge? Him - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:19
Who’s love never fails? Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
